Cook payouts
How online checkout, customer fees, connected payout accounts, refunds, and reporting work when you sell pickup meals.
How customers pay
When online checkout is enabled, customers reserve meals and pay ahead of pickup.
Kitchen Counter-Measures uses secure online checkout for card payments. The checkout page shows the meal subtotal and any applicable customer checkout fees before the order is completed.
Your listed meal price
Cooks choose the listed price for each meal, tray, batch, or pickup item.
The listed meal price is separate from any customer checkout fees shown during payment.
You stay in control of your menu, pricing, pickup windows, and availability.
Checkout and platform fees
Customers see applicable checkout fees before they complete an order.
Applicable customer checkout fees are shown before payment is completed. Platform and payment processing fees may change as Kitchen Counter-Measures evolves.
When payouts arrive
Payouts are sent through the cook's connected payout account.
Exact payout timing follows the connected account schedule and payment processor rules. New accounts, account reviews, weekends, bank holidays, disputes, or missing information can affect timing.
Refunds and cancellations
Refunds, cancellations, disputes, and no-show situations may affect payout timing or the final amount available for payout.
Because meals are preorder-based, cancellation handling may depend on order timing, prep status, pickup coordination, and marketplace review.
Tax forms and reporting
Cooks are responsible for understanding their own tax reporting responsibilities.
Stripe may collect tax information during payout setup and may provide tax forms when reporting thresholds or processor rules apply.
Connecting a payout account
After your cook account is ready for payout setup, open Payout setup from My Kitchen and follow the Stripe Express onboarding steps.
Stripe hosts bank and tax forms. Kitchen Counter-Measures does not store your bank account number.
