Customer help

Ordering meals, preorder timing, pickup coordination, payments, refunds, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Ordering meals

Browse available meals, choose your quantity and pickup window, then continue to checkout.

Some listings may include multiple pickup windows, preorder deadlines, quantity limits, reheating instructions, allergen notes, and public meetup coordination.

Customers reserve meals ahead of time instead of requesting on-demand delivery.

How preorder timing works

Each meal listing may include when ordering opens, preorder cutoff times, pickup windows, and quantity availability.

Example: orders open Monday, preorders close Friday at 2 PM, pickup happens Saturday from 5 to 7 PM. Once the preorder cutoff passes, the listing may stop accepting new orders even if pickup has not happened yet.

Pickup coordination

Pickup styles may include porch pickup, curbside handoff, public meetup, church or community kitchen pickup, and farmers market handoff. The listing explains which style applies before ordering.

  • Arrive during the scheduled pickup window
  • Use order coordination for delays
  • Avoid arriving unexpectedly outside pickup times
  • Respect private property and meetup instructions

Public meetup listings

Some cooks prefer meeting in public locations instead of sharing a home address. Public meetup listings may use church parking lots, park pavilions, coffee shops, community centers, shared kitchen locations, or farmers markets.

These listings clearly indicate that pickup happens at a public meetup instead of a residential location.

Allergens and food handling

Cooks provide allergen and handling information directly on listings. If you have severe allergies, contact the cook before pickup using order coordination.

  • Hot and ready to eat
  • Refrigerated
  • Freezer-friendly
  • Reheating required

Follow the listing's storage and reheating guidance after pickup.

Payments

When payments are enabled, checkout is processed securely through Stripe.

Depending on device and availability, buyers may see card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and other supported methods.

A small service fee is added at checkout to support secure payments, cook onboarding, and pickup coordination. Cooks keep their listed meal price.

Refunds and cancellations

Because meals are preorder-based, cancellation policies may vary depending on timing and preparation status.

  • Cancellation before prep begins
  • Last-minute cancellation
  • No-show pickups
  • Incorrect orders
  • Unsafe coordination

Repeated abusive behavior by buyers or cooks may lead to moderation review.

If something goes wrong

Please report no-shows, harassment, misleading listings, dangerous situations, repeated cancellations, payment disputes, and suspicious activity. Reports help us improve marketplace safety and coordination.
